Down-to-earth, decisive and ruthless, it's obvious that Tony Soprano makes a great — if not an all-out archetypal — mob boss.
A quick glance at the spiritual portraits on this page reveals that Dr. Jennifer Melfi's image sticks out like a sore thumb. This is because she's the only one with any significant amount of iNtuition, which is represented by the color Blue. And indeed, even though she's as Italian as the others, she's the one character on the show who is not one of Tony Soprano's crowd.
The final scene in the episode shows Tony and AJ sharing some ice cream with Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit playing in the background. I consider that scene to be a work of genius — but to understand why, you'll need to see the episode for the context!
I believe many, if not most of the male characters on the show will have spiritual portraits similar to Tony's, and many, if not most of the female characters on the show will have spiritual portraits similar to Carmela's. Thus I think the spiritual portraits of the characters in this gallery are fairly representative of most of the characters on the show.
However, there's always the chance I will add one or more other characters from the show here soon. To ensure you know when I add your favorite character from the series, follow this site on social media or join the SeeOurMinds.com email list!
Soldier, Made Man, and Underboss in the DiMeo Crime Family
Christopher's spiritual portrait is very similar to Tony's. It is easy to see how they would like the same things and get along so well, despite the difference in their ages. Click on the image to learn more! .... [More] [Less]
Dr. Jennifer Melfi
Tony Soprano's Psychiatrist
Dr. Melfi's spiritual portrait is much different from the others in this gallery. Specifically, the Blue shows she is more interested in theories and ideas than facts, a necessary trait for someone in her line of work. Click on the image to learn more! .... [More] [Less]
